2018 Was the first year Security Response Services became involved in one of Waikato’s most prestigious events – The Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic
Sterling Security Systems Ltd (our Sister Company), has been the Long Race sponsor for the last 5 years running.
The Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic was back for its 35th running and was held on the weekend of 9-11th November 2018. The racing takes place in many forms over the weekend and is held on the Waikato River and is the premier event of the year for water ski racers in New Zealand & Australia.
The event has seven components, the pinnacle of which is the Long Race that is an 82km flat out sprint, against the clock from Cambridge to Taupiri and back to Hamilton. This race attracts the best ski racers from North and South Islands as well as plenty of Australians from across the ditch.
When Security Response Services was given the opportunity to be involved in this high profile event the Directors jumped at the opportunity.
2018 Seen Security Response Services provide the flawless overnight security to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the events main hub, the large viewing screen and the competitor’s boats. Apart from one broken hearted intoxicated male found in a rubbish bin in the early hours of the morning the event went without any security concerns.
The customer has expressed how happy they were with the professional level of service they received and have already started talking about next year’s event!
